The app is great but one feature I wish they would add is that once you scan a document to your phone you cannot scan in another document to the file. Example you can't scan I doc with glass scanner then add a doc from the feeder to the same file. That's very annoying. Also you can't select 2 side feeder copy so if you have double sided docs you must scan them all by glass scanner. Also very annoying.

Extremely easy to set up printer to phone and very user friendly app other than the mentioned above. This app found my printer quickly (HP 3450), but it seems to have caused printing probs. I repeatedly got an error message on my printer that the ink cartridge was jammed. I cleared out the paper being used, reset the cartridges, and the same error would occur. This went on for about an hour as I tried various troubleshooting.
The printer would even print its own status reports perfectly, but 'jammed' from this app. I only got it to print my document from my laptop. Don't know what the problem is, hope HP can investigate. Was great as HP All-in-one app from IOS, Android and PC! But now, as 'HP Smart' I cannot print from the app to an actual HP All-in-one printer??? Please advise as we are looking to switch to Canon's new 2 year ink life cartridges if we cannot resolve this, and we've been with HP for near 2 decades?!
The app tells me that it cannot find the printer from my Android 6.0.1 and my wife prints easily from Win10?!! The app also allows to print from the device to the printer but disconnects the Wifi from my device, of course that prompt will never work so why is it prompting this action? 'Smart' technology is more frustrating the more 'smart' it supposedly gets! You're not helping?!! How is it HP you make changes to your app which we have to use to print but, your efforts to update or upgrade your end of the HP Smart Print App doesn't equate to effective performance on our end?? Isn't 'Tech' supposed to be getting easier and more efficient for all of our use as it evolves, sadly no!
Very convenient app. For those who want to scan multiple pages please note the following: The only way to scan multiple pages into one document, is to use the scan from glass as the source. You will see the add multiple pages icon become available. Adding multiple pages is currently not available when using the document feeder as the scan source. HP Developers: Enabling the ability to add multiple pages when scanning from the document feeder, and enabling the two-sided scanning feature from the document feeder would be excellent additions to this app.
