I am new with PC so can not do a lot of technical things.can anyone help or should I revert back to Windows 7. AND, if I do revert back will that cause any issues? I just did the upgrade Friday and I know you have 30 days to go back.

Any hep would be greatly appreciated. Let me address this in general, because I don“t have an HP, but a custom-built unit. I HAD the same problem. No sound in my Cambridge Soundworks 5.1, which is plugged into the rear jacks, but just fine in my headphones, which are plugged into the front audio jack. After re-booting the newly installed WIN10, I noticed that my Realtek Audio Manager was missing, and therefore all of the stuff that I had been accustomed to doing was no longer doable. Long story, short answer: WIN10 had simply failed to find/connect/re-connect/whatever Realtek, so I downloaded the newest drivers and re-booted and then UNPLUGGED and REPLUGGED all of my speaker wires and. Everything works again.

No other WIN10 problems so far.
