Audiofinder Serial

I don't quite know how to word the question but; back in the days of LP8 you would use Ssoundtrack Pro and Compressor or Bias Peak Pro to finish, finalize and master your albums and CDs for Red Book parameters and DDP gold masters and all the other post stuff that Logic Pro doesn't do. Of course Soundtrack Pro and Compressor are long since outdated end-of-life software.

and stinkin' Bias has gone out of business. And left me with $1100 worth of software that I cannot install or use on anything since Mountain Lion.

Because even though it's a box set with serial numbers and such for everything you still have to go online to authorize which is no longer possible.stupidest thing i ever wasted my money on. Unfortunately ' life happens ' and I never did finish the album or get to use any of that stuff I wasted my money on. Not crying in my beer. Just laying out the background story.

( on a semi- related note, think PreSonus Studio One has a wonderful idea with their built-in editing / mastering system that actually updates any track your are working on into the master CD project. Absolutely awesome feature. ) anyways, back to the point. What does everyone use nowadays for LPX audio post work for actual authorizing and prep for commercial delivery. Well, I used Peak off and on from within Logic for destructive editing, but there were issues with Peak regarding updating files once they were saved, since Peak 4.x at least. I've tried DSP-Quattro and AudioFIle Engineering's Wave Editor also.

I have settled on IcedAudio's AudioFinder. With AudioFinder as my external editor, I can open the file from within Logic and pick and choose which ever editor I need to use for the job. From within AudioFinder I can access Peak, DSP-Quattro, Wave Editor, Sample Manager, Loop Editor, Melodyne, iZotope RX, etc. Once the file is saved, it ends up back in Logic. Peak still has the saving issue, but I believe the rest have been behaving. I have Presonus Studio One Pro, purchased on a half-off sale that I have used to assemble CDs with. It's pretty idiot proof and is laid out nicely, similar to how WaveBurner worked.

Hope this helps. Of course Soundtrack Pro and Compressor are long since outdated end-of-life software. Hardly 'outdated' since I'm running Soundtrack Pro 3.0.1 (303A43) on Mavericks 10.9.4 and 'end-of-life' doesn't mean you can't install the software you bought and use it. It just means there's no support anymore from Apple but there's plenty of sites that can help you with questions on the product.

From what I read, the reason it was discountined was it wasn't selling well, not that it was an 'outdated' product. 1pauper1 wrote. And stinkin' Bias has gone out of business. Fill out this form here and expect an email within a day like I got and they said my number usage count has been bumped up and no need to deactivate my existing install.

They even give you a link to all the software to download (in case you deleted it) and all your serial numbers. I just authorized my PeakPro 7.0.3.24813 today and it's running just fine on Mavericks 10.9.4. If you authorized before you'll get help since you're in there system, don't expect help otherwise.

@ValliSoftware, very enlightening post. Thanks a lot. As I said I never got to use any of it for various reasons and it has been six or seven years since I bought all that stuff. And as far as the current usability of the stuff I bought way back then. I assumed it was all outdated and irrelevant by now The Bias stuff I bought was definitely registered after I got it because I remember that XT suite had like five or six different serial numbers i had to deal with to make all the various included software work.quite aggravating as i recall.

Anyways thanks a lot for taking the time to straighten me out on these matters and providing me with those helpful links. Interesting, coud describe this workflow in a litte more detail? How do you open Wave Editor (triumph) from within audioFinder? I'm playing with the demo and there are options for sending out to logic or protools but not Triumph or melodyne, both of which i have? Here's another option to consider. Check out Adobe's Audition CC. It's a fine audio editing tool.

Interestingly, both Peak Pro and Soundtrack Pro still works on my computer. But I find myself using Audition CC fine-tuning my audio projects more and more, now. Of course, if you decide to go with Adobe's Audition, one has to deal with Adobe's new way of dealing with its software.

I've been using Adobe's Cloud and software package for a couple of years, now. I use most of their programs (Premiere CC, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC, etc., etc.) including it's Audition CC and I'm quite happy. However, it is a new way of dealing with software.
